Li Keqiang Sends Message of Congratulation to France's New Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne
2022-05-19 18:55

On May 18, 2022, Premier Li Keqiang sent a congratulatory message to Elisabeth Borne on her appointment as French Prime Minister.

Li Keqiang said in his message that, in recent years, China-France relations have enjoyed a sound momentum of development. The two sides have continuously deepened cooperation and exchanges in areas such as economy, trade, investment, science, education, transportation and people-to-people exchanges, and worked together to address global challenges such as COVID-19 pandemic, climate change and biodiversity conservation. This will not only benefit the two countries and peoples, but also contribute to world peace, stability and prosperity. The recent telephone conversation between the two heads of state has given a strong boost to the development of bilateral relations. Both China and France are permanent members of the UN Security Council. China attaches great importance to its relations with France. I would like to work with Prime Minister Borne to jointly push for new achievements in China-France cooperation in various fields and make new contributions to the sound development of China-EU relations.
