
At the invitation of the Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China in Auckland, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) practitioners from Beijing Tong Ren Tang (Auckland) Company Limited gave a lecture on health care on 23th January. Consul General Chen Shijie attended the lecture with all the other staff and some of their family members. Before the lecture, Consul General Chen met with the General Manager Mr Suo Donghua and the TCM practitioners. Chen said that TCM is rooted in traditional Chinese culture and is also a treasure of human civilization, and called on the Company to actively promote the TCM culture and facilitate exchanges and cooperation in the field of health and wellness between China and New Zealand. The TCM practitioners systematically explained the theory of TCM health preservation and provided medical consultation for the participants. The staff of the Consulate-General and their family members said that the event helped them master more health knowledge and improve their health awareness, which was conducive to maintaining physical and mental wellness.
