BEIJING, May 31 (Xinhua) -- The Sichuan Education Publishing House has released a book which richly documents Tibet's past and present and details the causes and effects of several riots that occurred in the southwest China region.
The 13-chapter book, "Evil Deeds Under the Snowy Mountains: The Causes and Effects of Riots in Tibet," tells the truth about the riot on March 14, 2008, and three other separatist riots during the 20th century with thorough documentation, exposing the "violent nature of the Dalai clique and their nonviolent guise," critics said.
The book was hailed by experts as comprehensively explaining Tibet's history and reality, as well as analyzing the region's development in an innovative, profound and unique manner.
The book also covers Tibet's social and religious status, the origin of the Tibet issue, the Chinese government's policies on Tibet, and the government's basic attitude and standpoint toward the Tibet issue.
The book's author, Xu Mingxu, worked in Tibet in the 1980s and collected many original documents relating to Tibet. He later studied in America and is now a freelancer.
