On 12 August, Vice Consul General Wang Junchao attended the Career Night campus recruitment event hosted by the New Zealand Chinese Students Association. New Zealand Member of Parliament Nancy Lu, Waitematā Local Board member Alexandra Bonham, and about 120 Chinese students from the University of Auckland participated.

In his remarks, Wang noted that China is the largest source country of international students for New Zealand, and Chinese students have become an important bridge connecting the two countries. He encouraged the students to keep pace with the trends of the times, take the first step in their career paths to lay a solid foundation for long-term development, and serve as envoys of China-New Zealand friendship by contributing to mutual understanding and friendly exchanges between the two peoples.

Guest speakers shared their career experiences and engaged in interactive exchanges with the students. Following the event, about 20 companies held on-site recruitment activities.
