On 12 October, Acting Consul General Wang Junchao attended the welcome ceremony for the 2026 National "Master Craftsmen's Teachers" Innovation Team Overseas Training Delegation held at Waikato Institute of Technology and delivered remarks. President of Waikato Institute of Technology, Warwick Pitts, relevant department heads of the institute and all teachers of the training delegation participated.

Wang reviewed the fruitful outcomes and broad prospects of China-New Zealand educational cooperation and encouraged the teachers to take this training as an opportunity to deepen experience sharing between the two countries and play a positive role in promoting the high-quality development of China's vocational education.

At the welcome ceremony, the Chinese and New Zealand sides respectively performed songs of their own countries, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere.
